F M SYSTEMS, INC. announces a new product to monitor CCTV camera integrity.

The CG-4 Camera Guard system supervises the continuity of four separate CCTV video camera signals and operates a relay when the video signal is degraded or is tampered with. It will identify the loss of any video signal due to removal of the camera, loss of power to the camera, camera cable disconnect and covering of the camera lens. It will also detect the removal of equipment on the end of the video line such as video monitors in public places.

The CG-4 can be connected to a local alarm to alert monitor personnel that a camera is being tampered with or send a message to a remote site by connecting the alarm relay output to external dialing equipment. You can use this to shut off fuel pumps or other equipment when a camera is disabled. This unit will reduce the liability associated with extended and un-detected loss of area security when cameras are rendered in-operative without notification.

A unit is also available for IP video cameras and is called IPG-4.
