Add Video or PTZ Control to the Camera Power Wires

The DCSI is a splitter that makes it possible to use the low voltage camera power supply wires to send Video, PTZ Data or Audio from the camera to the DVR and vise-versa while at the same time passing up to 4 amps of power to run the camera and other equipment. One DCSI unit is placed at each end of any low voltage power supply run to condition the line and provide access to the signal path. After installation any signal with a frequency of 5 MHz or higher can be inserted onto the power wire run and then recovered at the far end. Screw terminals are used for the power input/output and BNC connectors are used to connect the signal to be carried on the power supply wires. These units are used when running new cable is difficult or prohibitively expensive, when you have to break out concrete or open up walls to run the new cable. Also if you have a direct burial cable that has failed you can use this system to by pass the cable and use the existing power run to deliver the video signal without having to dig up the old cable.

These units are designed to be used in conjunction with the TVP/RVP-20 that will let you insert a single video camera signal onto the power wire to add an additional camera to any existing system without the need to run additional cables. In this application only the TVP/RVP-20 channel “B” is used and only one channel of video can be inserted onto the power wire.

Or if you need a PTZ data signal injected onto the power wires you can use the DLT/DLR-1 transmitter and receiver to send PTZ control or any other RS422 data signal in either direction on the power wire. The DCSI lets you share the same wires used to supply the power to operate the camera.

If you want to add Sound to any installation you can use these units along with the CCT/CCR-1 Camera Com equipment to get the signal through using only the power wires, again it shares the same wire as the power and delivers the audio as well.

The DCSI is used at both ends of the power wire to gain access the power wire and change its impedance to high frequencies so that the other equipment can use that frequency spectrum to send and receive signals. This product also removes Common Mode interference signals on the power line for a cleaner better filtered power supply. These units are sold in pairs and must be used in pairs for signal injection. Single units may be used to reduce Common Mode high frequency interference on the power.
